The module Fundamentals of Sustainable Management and Leadership will cover the following topics:

  • Sustainability in a societal, political, economic and business contexts
  • Sustainability strategies at national, European and international contexts
  • Stakeholder Theory and Management
  • Sustainability Management across different business functions
  • Measurement of Sustainability
  • Leadership

 

The course is taught in a seminar style with practical examples and selected case studies.

By the end of this module, students should be able to:

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of the concept of sustainability
  • Develop a sound knowledge of sustainability management topics
  • Critically evaluate contemporary issues of sustainable management in various contexts
  • Critically examine issues around measuring sustainability
  • Demonstrate understanding of different sustainable leadership styles
