Qualifikationsziele

The student has an overview of the main guidelines for road design and is able to design alignments, gradients and cross sections according to the guidelines. The student can use the methodology for the checking process of the three – dimensional alignment and is able to identify shortcomings within the design. They have the theoretical knowledge and practical experiences of the 3D modelling for the geometric design by using simulations and visualizations technologies. The student knows the driver – vehicle – road interaction system and can apply the driving simulation. The traffic quality and the superstructure of the road can be determined on given data.
